Cliffs of Moher

I spend half of my life daydreaming, and the other half living a dream.

Our first evening in County Clare, Ireland was a perfect, clear night so we decided to visit one of the most beautiful places in the country. We ventured off to the Cliffs of Moher to see the breath-taking views of the cliffs and the overlooking views of the Atlantic coast. One of the best parts of this evening, is we had the place to ourselves and free range to see and do anything we wanted.

At over 700 feet high and 5 miles wide, we walked the perimeter and hung over the edges until sunset where we were able to watch the sun go down overlooking the open seas, green grass and colorful sandstone beneath our feet.

It was quite windy the evening we visited the cliffs, but were still brave enough to scale the edges of cliffs and lie on our stomachs and peek over the jagged peaks to see all that was directly below us. Looking down over the steep cliffs made your heart skip a beat and kept you mindful of your surrounding and knowing where you feet and hands where at all times - it made us feel alive.

The cliffs were absolutely magical and I remember at one point looking over to Ken and reminding him, 'my life is a dream.' I am truly convinced of this and am so fortunate of the places I have been and the scenery I have experienced. The Cliffs of Moher are now on the top of list of places I have been and landscapes I have seen. You must make it here if you ever visit Ireland.
