Together we make a Cactus

Note to Self: Cactus are not meant for climbing.

I have travelled the world, but not until this trip to Arizona had I ever seen a cactus. On our last day in Arizona, Ken and I drove south to the Sonoran Desert to attempt to hike the 106 degree heat. It was so hot and dry that you could feel yourself sweating, but it was evaporating just as fast as it was coming down.  The variety of cactus that covered the ground mixed with the desert mountains was so new to me that I had a blast running through the desert sand taking photos and trying to see the landscape that I almost forgetting about how miserably hot I was. It was a great half hour of exploring, followed by air conditioning blasting in the car.

See some of our photos from the desert!
